The United Kingdom of Great Britain

KGL Ensign King's German Legion Infantry

The King's German Legion mustered eight battalions of line infantry, each of which carried two standards as in the British line battalions. The first through fifth and the eighth battalions were at Waterloo in the 1st and 2nd Brigades K.G.L. of the 2nd and 3rd (Anglo-Hanoverian) Divisions respectively. This pattern standard was carried by all eight battalions and was also carried in the Peninsula Campaigns but without the circular 'PENINSULA' inscription.
