FRANCE 1794 Pattern

In this period regiments consisted of 3 battalions each. Regiments were at this time called "Deem Brigades" and the center (second) battalions all carried almost identical flags, the only difference being the number of the Deem Brigade to which the battalion belonged. The flags of the first and third battalion of each Deem Brigade were identical to each other but were unique to that Deem Brigade. This 1st and 3rd Color was different for each of the 119  Demi Brigades
The flags below are numbered for each Demi Brigade. The flag on the left is for the 1st and 3rd Battalions, the one on the right is for the 2nd Battalion.
